Complete support and protection

ALSO service plans provide complete support and protection for organisations. Benefits include an extended three- or four-year warranty, extended accident-related protection, and comprehensive expert support for all Surface devices.

Standard

The standard warranty is valid for two years, includes 90 days of facility support and hardware services that covers the battery and the supplied power adapter.

Extended warranty

All benefits of the standard plan plus an extended warranty of 3 or 4 years, as well as faster device replacement within 3 to 5 days.

Complete Business

Applies to organisations when buying less than 250 Devices.

All benefits of the extended warranty plus protection against accidental damage, including drop, water and overvoltage damage.

Complete Business Enterprise Edition

For organisations buying more than 250 devices, the Complete Business Enterprise Edition service plan provides an extended 3-year warranty on all devices and delivers device replacement in just 1 to 3 working days. Organisations can benefit from a comprehensive hardware service with a 30 to 45-day onboarding experience which facilitates the setup and deployment of Surface fleets.

Pooling Support Cases

The available support cases per device are gathered in a collective claim pool. For example, with 1,000 devices, 2,000 support cases are provided instead of 2 support cases per device. This also applies to case, liquid or overvoltage damage.

Replacing non-bootable devices

Customers can purchase a limited number of devices (up to 1 percent of the purchased quantity) or arrange an exchange without sending in the defective device –– ideal for devices that store sensitive information.
